What this is

QUIC Score (Quantitative Unipolar Intracardiac electrogram Score) is an electrophysiology mapping algorithm that scores unipolar intracardiac electrograms from R/S-wave amplitude ratio and Q-wave slope, computed from automatically detected waveform landmarks that a human reviewer confirms or corrects before anything is treated as ground truth.

How annotation works

Every waveform point runs through four landmark detectors — First Deviation, R-wave peak, Minimum Deflection, and Q-wave offset — each operating on the same extracted centerline coordinate sequence rather than on raw image pixels. Detector output is always a suggestion, never a final answer: the accepted annotation set is whatever the reviewer confirms, and only the accepted set feeds the measurement, calculation, and scoring pipeline.

No point is annotated, detected on, or scored without valid timing and voltage calibration. A scale of exactly 1.0 mV/px is indistinguishable from nobody having calibrated it, so the workflow refuses rather than guesses.

Reverse-feedback learning

When a reviewer repositions a marker, the system searches that detector's own parameter space for a setting that would have produced the same placement, and offers it back as a reviewable suggestion. When no setting in the full parameter range reproduces the correction, that outcome is recorded too — a signal that a threshold retune won't fix, which matters when asking whether the detection method itself, not just its constants, needs to change. Where this stands

This web app is a local-first development build. It runs on this machine only, does not accept connections from the public internet, and does not transmit patient-linked data anywhere. Public deployment is gated on finalizing patent protection (OHSU Docket 3528-1, provisional filed 2026-04-28) — not an engineering decision, an IP one.
